본 논문에서는 시선 추적을 통한 간접 인터페이스 시스템을 제안한다. 웹 카메라를 사용하여 컴퓨터 입력 시스템을 대체하고 얼굴과 눈 영역의 추출은 OpenCV 라이브러리를 사용하였다. 제안하는 시스템에서는 시선의 방향에 따라 마우스의 이동을 제어하고, 눈 깜박임을 활용하여 마우스 클릭 이벤트를 수행한다. 키보드의 각 입력버튼이 모니터 상에 사각형태로 구현된 가상 키보드를 활용하여 간접 인터페이스를 구현하였다. 가상 키보드의 각 버튼의 크기가 25화소 이상일 경우, 95% 이상의 정확도로 키보드의 입력이 실현 가능하였다.

This paper describes on the indirect interface system which can assign the computer instructions via a eye typing, without using a mouse click event or a keyboard stroke. The web camera was used as a input system. The face and eye regions were extracted by the Open source Computer Vision Library (OpenCV). It automatically controls a mouse-movement by calculating the position on the monitor where the eyesight focuses on, and simulates a mouse-click event by detecting the eye blinking action. We use the Tracebox which consist of same length and width on the monitor to simulate a keyboard entry. Over 95% tracing accuracy was achieved when the size of a Tracebox per each character exceeds 25 pixels.
