The Relationship of Sport for All Participation Motivation and Leisure Satisfaction and Life Satisfaction in the Elderly People

The purpose of this study was to examine the participation motivation of elderly people in sport for all and the impact of their participation motivation on leisure satisfaction and life satisfaction, as our society has turned into an aging society. The findings of the study were as follows: First, the sport for all participation motivation of the elderly people had a significant impact on psychological, physiological, resting, educational and social leisure satisfaction, which were the subfactors of leisure satisfaction. Second, the sport for all participation motivation of the elderly people exerted a significant influence on their positive and negative life satisfaction, which were the subfactors of life satisfaction. Third, the elderly people's leisure satisfaction through sport for all had a significant impact on their positive and negative life satisfaction, which were the subfactors of life satisfaction. The findings of the study suggest that a wide variety of programs should be developed and provided for elderly people to enjoy sport for all and lead a comfortable life without being alienated in today's aging society, and that they should officially be assisted from the government to take part in sport for all to boost their quality of life.
