The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of high intensity interval swim training on swim recrod and physiological factors elite swimmers. Twenty-two swimmers assigned to one of the two groups: 1) adolescent group and 2) college group 200m swimming record and physiological variation(lactate, glucose and heart rate) were measured with 100m swimming of standardized repeat sets. The result showed that 200m swim record, lactate concentration were significantly different between pre and post in both group(p<.01). Lactate, glucose and heart rate were significantly higher after swimming session(p<.01). These result would suggest that Interval swimming pace can be adjusted in relation to swim velocity calculated from time of 100m When physiological variation is increased from time of repetitions should be reduced by enhanced metabolic responses.
