The purpose of the study was to give information to gymnasts and coaches for improving athletic performance and about the possibility of medals on Vault in Olympics. The vault event qualifying round in 2010 Artistic World Gymnastics Championships(WC) in Rotterdam was played with 184 gymnasts performed 219 vault. And the national final elimination rounds(KC) for 2011 Artistic World Gymnastics Championships of Tokyo were played with 16 gymnasts. Most tried Difficulty score is 5.00 which was used 32% of 219 vaults in WC and 69% of 16 vaults in KC. The highest D-score was 6.50 which was used in both WC and in KC, so it could be considered that Korean and international gymnasts are on the same level. But Korean gymnasts need to diversity their techniques so as to improve performance in vaults.
