이 연구는 기술과 발명에 관한 초등 예비 교사들의 태도를 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이 연구의 주요 전략은 통합적인 STEM(과학, 기술, 공학 및 수학)과 e-포트폴리오 이었다. 초등 예비교사를 위한 수업을 개발하였으며, 전담 교수자 1명과 전문가 3명이 연구에 참여하였다. 검사 도구는 3개의 주요 영역(정보와 컴퓨터 능력, 기술과 발명의 교수에 대한 태도, 초등기술교육에 대한 인식)으로 구성되었으며, 타당성과 신뢰성을 검증하였다. 이 도구를 활용하여 34명의 예비교사를 대상으로 한 사전․사후 검사에 적용하였다. 통계분석기법은 주로 태도 변화 기술에, 질적 분석은 연구 결과를 도출하기 위하여 사용하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 예비 교사의 정보 및 컴퓨터 능력이 의미 있게 향상되었다. e-포트폴리오를 작성하는 동안 학생들은 몇 가지 단순한 디지털 하드웨어와 소프트웨어 활용 능력, 블로그와(또는) 게시판 작성 능력, 인터넷을 통한 관련 정보 검색 능력을 향상시킬 수 있었다. 둘째, 초등학교 수준에서 기술과 발명을 교수하는 것에 대한 믿음이 긍정적으로 변하였다. 예비교사들은 기술적 문제해결이 과학, 수학, 언어, 사회과학 등과 같은 다른 교과와의 통합적인 특성을 지닌다고 인식하였다. 셋째, e-포트폴리오와 통합적인 학습 전략은 학생들의 반성적 사고와 자기 주도적 학습에 유익한 것으로 나타났다.

This study was designed for investigating elementary school pre-service teachers' attitude toward technology and invention. This study employed two learning strategies: Integrative STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning and e-portfolio strategies. A class developed for elementary school pre-service teachers was implemented by four experts (one major instructor and three experts). A valid and reliable self-reporting instrument was administered to 34 elementary school pre-service teachers. A pre-test and post-test strategy of three key domains (information and computer competency, attitude toward teaching technology and invention, and perception toward ESTE (Elementary School Technology Education) was established. Statistical analysis techniques were primarily used to describe the attitudinal transitions and qualitative analysis was used to support the research findings. The research findings were as follows: 1) Pre-service teachers' information and computer competencies were significantly improved through this class. During the e-portfolio work, students could improve their competencies of using several simple digital hardware and software, writing the blog and/or bulletin board, and searching for relevant information from internet. 2) Their beliefs toward teaching technology and invention in elementary school level were positively changed through this class. They perceived that technological problem solving contained the integrative feature with other school subjects like science, mathematics, language arts, social studies, etc. 3) The e-portfolio and integrative learning strategies were found to be helpful for students' reflective thinking and self-directed learning in their projects.
