The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship athlete' self regulation and coping capability of game according to coaching type of taekwondo coach. To achieve the purpose, the total 293 subjects, were sampled from high school, college and general taekwondo athletes who are currently enrolled in athlete on 2008, and answered the given questionnaires. The tool on leadership used the questionnaires scales which modified the leadership style questionnaires developed by Chelladurai & Salde(1978). The measuring tool in self regulation used the questionnaire on self regulation verified by Huh(2003) and the tool of scoping capability of game used the questionnaire on coping capability of game used by You(2002). The statistical methods used for analyzing the data were the descriptive statistics analysis, one-way ANOVA, and standard multiple regression analysis. Through such processes and method of the study as above, the results of this study are as follow. 1. It shows the differences self regulation and coping capability of game according to populo-statistical characteristic in taekwondo athletes. 2. Coaching type of taekwondo coach affects the athlete's self regulation. 3. Coaching type of taekwondo coach affects the athlete's coping capability of game. 4. The athlete's self regulation affects the coping capability of game.
