이 논문은 현대 국어 초기 새김 자료의 하나인 ‘乙巳 季冬 完山 新刊本’ 『千字文』을 학계에 널리 소개하고, 또 이 자료에 나타난 국어 실상을 살펴보고자 한 것이다. 서지와 표기와 음운 등 이 문헌에 나타난 주요 특징을 고찰한 것 이다. ‘乙巳 季冬 完山 新刊本’ 『千字文』은 l905년(乙巳) 음력 12월에 간행한 千字文이 다. 이는 석봉천자문과 같은 '烈字本' 계통 천자문이다. 이 『千字文』은 현대 국어 초엽의 일반적 모습을 보이면서도 이와는 꽤 다 른 모습을 지니고 있다. 이는 방언의 반영으로 볼 수 있는 것들이다

The purpose of this study is to widely introduce Wansan(完山) version of the Cheonjamun(千字文), one of the Saegim(새김) materials of the recent Korean written language. Another purpose is to examine several features of the recent Korean appearing in this literature. For these purposes this study explores major features in this version such as bibliographical forms, spellings and phonological systems. This Wansan version of the Cheonjamun was published in the 12th lunar month in 1905, the year of Eulsa(乙巳). Like Seokbong(石峰) Cheonjamun, Wansan version also belongs to the Yeol(烈) version family. This Wansan version of the Cheonjamun, on the one hand, plays an important role as a mirror of the Korean language by reflecting on common features at that time. On the other hand, it shows quite a different aspect by reflecting a dialect spoken at that time, maybe.
