In this study, the research thesis aims to conduct a comparative analysis on basic sports and gender realm participation events type based on based on the summer olympic games(from 1896 to 2004). This comparative study has the following results from comparing basic sports and gender realm participation events type which are primary factors of following. First, there is a difference of basic sports type and gender realm participation events as a function of foundation sports at p<.001 level. The classified type basic sports presented athletic sports(48.3%), aquatic sports (33.6%), gymnastic sports(18.2%). Second, there is a difference of gymnastic sports and gender realm participation events as a function of gymnastic sports at p<.001 level. Gymnastic sports according to gender realm participation events type presented men(69.9%), men and women(18.1%), women(12.1%). Third, there is a difference of aquatic sports and gender realm
participation events as a function of aquatic sports at p<.001 level. Aquatic sports according to gender realm participation events type presented men and women(64.6%), men (29.6%), women(5.8%). Forth, there is a difference of athletic sports and gender realm participation events as a function of athletic sports at p<.001 level. Athletic sports according to gender realm participation events type presented men(61.2%), men and women(34.8%), women(4.1%).
