The characters of the ancestral shrine position in the traditional house in Jeonnam-do had been studied so far. Through the theoretical and general studies of the traditional house position, they report on the characteristics of the relationship between the ancestral shrine and the main family, separation of space for men and women shown the hierarchy of ancestral shrine and the meaning of the spatial and the psychological extension in the space of death and life.
