The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of exercise intensity on the effect of obesity intervention exercise program (OEX). Subjects were 14 male employees (23.05). VO2 max, LT, LT level, and ET were tended to be higher than those of pre-participation (p>.05). No unique tendency was shown in blood lipid profile. In SL group, after 12 weeks of OEX, BMI was significantly different from those of 6 weeks of OEX (p<.01). Body weight, waist girth, hip girth, WHR, and % body fat were tended to be lower than those of pre-participation (p>.05). VO2 max, LT, LT level, and ET were tended to be higher than those of pre-participation (p>.05). LT at 12 weeks of OEX was significantly different from those in ME group (p<.05). No unique tendency was shown in blood lipid profile. In conclusion, higher exercise intensity than normal intensity for obesity therapy was seemed to be effective on obesity related variables, and additionally effective in enhancement of aerobic exercise capacity. Therefore, effective exercise programs with diverse exercise intensities should be provided for OEX.
