The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between Level of Major Satisfaction and Physical Self-Efficacy.
The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire in which Physical Self-Efficacy as identified bv Ryckman(1982), translated by Hong(1996), Level of Major Satisfaction as amended and supplemented by Chun(2002).
200 subjects were selected from Students of Department in Physical Education in seoul by the stratified cluster sampling method.
Among these selected subjects, 200 responded, and data analyses consisted of employing descriptive statistics, χ²(Chi-square), one-way ANOVA using SPSS/PC+ version 11.0.
The following results were obtained:
First, Level of Major Satisfaction and Physical Self-Efficacy differ statistically and significantly according to socio-demographic variables of Students of Department in Physical Education.
Second, Physical Self-Efficacy differs statistically and significantly according to Level of Major Satisfaction in Students of Department in Physical Education.
