The metropolitan cities of Korea have experienced a lot of changes in terms of architectural characters and urban patterns with the strong demand of the industrialization. However the demand driven by the quantitative expansion caused the undesirable urban inactivity in particular area of Central Business District. Like the metropolitan cities of other countries in post industrial era, Dae-gu city is experiencing urban decline in economical ineffectiveness mainly
caused by the retained environmental structure of pre-industrial urban pattern. This study provide the objective data as a basement for the urban regeneration which is proceeding in the future.
