In this article, I try to readjust several words for philosophical practice such as philosophical counseling, philosophical therapy, philosophical healing, clinical philosophy and philosophical practice, and to suggest an organized system for these. For these, I analyze these words as they are used in Korea as well as in other countries. In this suggested system, I propose philosophical practice as a representative name for the system which has four major areas: philosophical counseling, philosophical therapy, philosophical education and philosophical cafe. Philosophical counseling is a method-free dialogue - between a counselor and autonomous clients - which is composed of three branches: individual counseling, group counseling and corporate counseling. Philosophical therapy is a method- based treatment in which therapists may diagnose and prescribe patients' problems as philosophical diseases. Philosophical education is teaching process for students and citizens. Philosophical cafe is a leisure activity of philosophical discussion.

최근 각종 상담과 치료의 도입과 함께 철학관련 상담 및 치료에 대한 논의가 활발해지고 있다. 그러나 이와 관련한 용어들이 혼용되고 있어 정확한 개념 파악이 곤란한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 철학실천, 철학상담, 철학치료, 철학치유, 임상철학 등 여러 용어가 구분 없이 사용되는 것에 질서를 부여하고 이와 관련된 여러 분야들의 체계를 제시한다. 이를 위해 각종 용어들이 구미(歐美) 뿐 아니라 우리나라에서 어떻게 사용되어지고 있는지 분석하고 그 의미를 곱씹어보며 철학상담, 철학치료, 철학교육, 철학카페라는 네 가지의 분야들과 그 분야들을 아우르는 대표용어로 철학실천을 제시한다. 그중 철학상담은 내담자의 자율성을 최대한 보장하면서 내담자 스스로 철학적 문제들을 해결하는 철학적 대화의 과정으로 개인상담, 집단상담, 전속상담이라는 세 분야로 다시 나누어진다. 철학치료는 내담자의 문제들을 구체적인 철학적 병들로 진단하고 이에 대해 구체적인 치료방법을 처방하는 것으로 임상철학과 철학치유로 나누어진다. 철학교육은 초ㆍ중ㆍ고등학교와 대학에서의 철학관련 교육 및 전공교육, 그리고 일반 사회인들을 위한 철학방법 및 내용 교육을 말한다. 철학카페는 철학을 즐기려는 사람들이 모여 하는 철학토론 모임으로 소크라테스대화와 철학자카페로 구분된다.
