An admission officer system is promoted as part of enhancement policy of the university admission screening system for normalization of school education, reduction of private education expense burden and selection of candidates by university. This system is for selection of new students by generally assessing diverse qualitative information such as curriculum activities, home background, personality and aptitude, specialty, leadership and personal relationship, creativity, growth potency along with quantitative information such as test scores or grades in high school. This assessment method of the admission officer system is based on holistic approach, and paradigms and methods of holistic assessment must be applied to screening of admission officer for the purpose. As the result of analyzing screening of admission officer of the demonstration-operated-university of the admission officer system that is supported by the government, on the holistic assessment views, the current admission officer system establishes screening data, assessment procedures and stages, and screening methods on the base of general principles for holistic assessment. A method to sum the results by assessing quantitative and qualitative information respectively and reducing dependency degree on quantitative information by screening stage is avoided so that the admission officer system contributes for normalization of high school education. The utilization degree of a lifelong history type of portfolio must be more increased than to utilize document prepared in a specific time. To the end, edupot as e-portfolio must be activated and settled in a high school.

홀리스틱 교육은 모든 사람의 지적⋅정서적⋅사회적⋅신체적⋅심미적⋅영적 잠재력의 성장을 지향하며, 모든 학생의 지성적⋅창의적⋅체계적 사고 등의 타고난 잠재력을 깨우치게 하는 것을 목표로 한다. 따라서 대학입학 준비를 위한 시험 대비용 지적 학습활동에 치중된 학교교육 현장은 홀리스틱 교육의 입장에서도 개선의 대상이며, 이와 같은 홀리스틱 접근, 홀리스틱 교육의 패러다임은 입학사정관전형의 학생평가 방법으로도 적용되고 있다. 정부의 재정지원을 받는 입학사정관제 운영 선도대학의 입학사정관전형을 홀리스틱 평가관에 입각하여 분석한 결과, 현행 입학사정관제는 홀리스틱 평가의 일반적인 원칙에 입각하여 전형자료, 평가절차와 단계, 전형방법 등을 설정하고 있으나, 전형 단계별 양적 정보에 대한 의존도를 줄이고, 양적 정보와 질적 정보를 각각 평가하여 결과를 합산하는 방식을 지양하는 통합적 관점의 평가가 이루어져야 한다. 그리고 입학전형에 대비한 특정 시기에 작성된 문서를 평가자료로 활용하는 것보다는 고등학교 재학기간 동안 작성된 일대기 형식의 포트폴리오의 활용도를 높여야 한다. 이를 위해 고등학교에서 작성하는 e-portfolio인 edupot이 활성화되고 고등학교에 정착될 필요가 있다.
