Nowadays, in modern society, rather than visiting a paint shop in person to purchase oil stains, you can compare and purchase various oil stains through your smartphone and receive the product at home. Therefore, people use a wider variety of oil stain products than in the past. Many previous studies have already shown that spontaneous combustion can occur in oil-stained rags or fabrics, leading to fires. However, since the previous study was conducted with only one product that had already spontaneously ignited and was found at the fire scene, there are limitations in applying the various oil stains currently sold on the Internet as they also have the potential to spontaneously ignite. Therefore, this experiment aims to contribute to a clear investigation of the cause of fire by testing various types of oil stains and measuring and verifying the possibility of spontaneous combustion of each oil stain product.
