동파 방지 열선에 의한 화재는 산업현장과 빌딩, 아파트, 주택의 수도관이나 수도계량기, 소방 배관, 용수 저장탱크와 농어촌의 농수 배관과 탱크 등에서 결빙· 파열에 의한 피해를 예방하기 위해서 동파 방지 열선으로 정온전선을 많이 사용하고 있다. 동파 방지 방법은 여 러 가지가 있으나 현장에서 많이 사용하는 대책 중의 하나가 배관 등에 열선을 깔고 테이프 로 감아서 시공한 후 배관 보온재로 감싸고 덮개 등으로 보호하는 방법이다. 동파 방지 열 선(정온전선)의 시공이 부적합하거나, 유지·관리·점검 소홀로 인한 동파 방지 열선에 의한 화재가 자주 발생하여 인명과 재산 피해가 증가하고 있으므로 본 논문에서는 사고사례와 동종 사고를 예방하고 안전 시공과 유지관리 및 화재 원인조사 분야에서 도움이 되기를 기 대한다.

Fire caused by freeze-prevention heating wires are often used as freeze-prevention heating wires to prevent damage caused by freezing and rupture in industrial sites, buildings, apartments, water meters, fire pipes, water storage tanks, agricultural and fishery pipes and tanks. There are many ways to prevent freezing, but one of the measures commonly used in the field is to lay a heating wire on a pipe, wrap it with a tape, wrap it with a pipe insulation material, and protect it with a cover. As the construction of the freeze-prevention heating wire (Self-regulating heating cable) is inadequate, but fires are frequently caused by the freeze-prevention heating wire due to negligence in maintenance, management, and inspection, human and property damage are increasing, we hope this paper will be helpful in safety construction, maintenance, and fire investigation.
