가정에서 사용하는 진공청소기 및 공장에 설치된 각종 집진기는 화재에 매우 취약하 다. 특히 산업현장에 설치된 전기집진기에서의 화재는 막대한 재산피해를 가져오게 된 다. 최근 발생한 전기집진기의 조사결과 공통된 구조적 문제로 폭발 화재가 발생한 것 을 알 수 있었다. 이에 유사한 사고의 감식요점과 재발방지 대책을 제시하였다.

Vacuum cleaners used at home and various dust collectors installed in factories are very vulnerable to fire. Especially, a fire in an electrostatic precipitator installed on an industrial site leads to enormous property damage. A recent survey of electrostatic precipitators revealed that explosive fires occurred due to common structural problems. The similarity of the accident and the measures to prevent the recurrence were suggested.
