화재현장에서 발견되는 여러 개소의 독립적인 연소형태나 가연성 액체의 연소 흔적, 가 연물을 인위적으로 옮기거나 적치한 흔적 등은 방화의 흔적으로 의심되고 있지만, 일반 화재에서도 현장의 구조나 가연물 상태, 진화 지연 등 연소 환경에 의하여 방화로 의심될 수 있는 흔적이 생성되기도 한다. 이러한 형상은 전도, 대류, 복사에 의한 연소 확산과정 에 나타날 수 있는 자연스러운 형상이지만, 방화 흔적과 유사하게 나타나기 때문에 일부 특징만을 부각시켜 방화 의 근거로 제시하여서는 안 될 것이며, 개구부의 형성이나 가연 물의 조건, 소락물 등에 대한 충분한 검토 후 방화의 흔적으로 판단하여야 할 것이다.

Although independent combustion forms of several places found at the scene of the fire or combustions forms of flammable liquids, signs of moving or piling up combustibles artificially are suspected of signs of arson, signs that can be suspected of arson due to combustion environment such as the structure of the field or flammable conditions, evolution delays, etc in general fire may be produced. These traces are natural signs which may appear in a combustion diffusion process by conduction, convection and radiation, and they are similar to signs of arson so they won't be presented as grounds of arson by only highlighting some of the features, the grounds should be determined after a sufficient review on the formation of an opening or terms of combustibles, a slight fall.
