Cet article explore l'importance des aspects culturels dans le processus traductif. II se base sur les quatres problemes traductionnels proposes par Christine Nord, et met en lumieregrace a l'examen d'une bande dessinee japonaise bien connue- le lien entre le probleme traductionnel et la signification culturel. Ce demarche finit par demontrer les avantages du modele Nordien et revele que tous les quatres problemes traductionnels de Nord sont lies aux aspects culturels.
